Marshmallow Release Showing in Sony Mobile website

This is really surprising, today i just checked in sonymobile website and i found that the lastest Android release mentioned there is

Android version: Android 6.0 (Marshmallow)

Latest available software: 23.5.A.0.570

http://support.sonymobile.com/global-en/xperiaz2/software/

So i check in my mobile for the availability of new software but unforutnately it was not available, and also i checked connecting my mobile through Xperia Companion and it says the same old message your mobiile is having the latest Android.

Attached is the screen shot.

Its unbeleivable from Sony that they are putting in website something that they have not released to all the regions Globally.

Dual SIM functionality is different than what you mentioned. I used a Z3 Dual, and the you can switch the primary SIM from inside software. If you want to use Internet on SIM 1, you'll go to Settings -> Dual SIM settings and set SIM 1 as primary. This will make SIM 1 function as both voice and Internet at 4G speed and SIM 2 as voice only at 2G speed.

At anytime you need to reverse that you just go back to settings and switch to SIM 2 as primary, which will enable Internet at 4G speed on it but allows only voice on SIM 1 on 2G speed.

The technically both SIM slots are capable of performing on 4G speed and using Internet, you just choose which one from Settings.

For heating issue: my Z5 only heats when recording 4K video, other than that it's normal or a bit warm.

Updates are released gradually and timing will differ between markets. Unless there is an official statement from Sony, the exact timing of update to your market will not be available here or anywhere else. Keep checking periodically on PC Companion.

Dear Brother

What you have to say in this case, where Sony has mentioned in thier website about the release. I have posted the link and photo for the same.

This is how updates work, not only in Sony but also almost every other manufacturer (apart from Apple): Update gets released and announced on the website at the same day, so users are informed. Then it's gradually sent out to devices, to make it more clear for you, it's about a specific character of your mobile/tablet called "customization version". You can check this version by dialing the code *#*#7378423#*#* the tap on "Software info", if you want me to check if this specific customization version has the update released or not I can help you with that.

Dear Brother

Yes, please help.

Also i would like to know from you and your vast experience and expertise wether installing Marshmallow is safe on Z2 thinking from the compatibility point of view. As i have read in many forums and here as well that users are facing different type of difficulties. One of the user has just now posted in this forum that his MHL is not working after updating to Marshmallow.

Thanks.

I don't own a Z2 at them moment, currently using Z5. I suggest that you take a tour around and see users feedback. Major updates will bring new and exciting features but can sometimes also bring some minor bugs and/or incompatibilities with apps not optimized to work with latest version of Android.

If you wanna try it, I suggest that you take a backup from your data on internal memory and then install a fresh copy from the latest software by performing a software repair using PC Companion. This will erase internal memory and provides a clean experience of the update, then you can install your favourite apps.

Dear Brother

Recently a few weeks ago I tried to repair using Xperia Companion and after download the update successfully and while pushing the update on to  the mobile it failed in the middle and my mobile got Bricked. Then i had to download fresh version 1.30 GB file from Xperia firwmware application which was very hectic and time consuming.

Hence I am hesitant in doing the repair, and this happend with me not onlin Z2 but also with my Z1 while doing repair. I still not able to understand why this happened as this I never faced before.

@kkinksa

That's a phone with SA (Saudi Arabia) customization, and it appears on server list that marshmallow is not released for it yet (only 25% of active customizations are updated at the moment). So just keep checking on PC Companion periodically and hopefully you'll receive it in the upcoming days.

Revise this guide ( software repair using PC Companion ) to see if you did all the steps correctly.

Dear Brother

Thanks for your help and guidance.

Only one thing I would like to know, how is it possible to see in any website how many regions the update has reached as you have mentioned in your earlier post.
