Is there a better way to charge?

Since the battery optimization came in this new update, a question raised in my mind. If I charge my phone slowly, with a low ampere charger, it can have the same effect of the battery optimization option, i.e., it can help the battery to last longer-term?

I don't think this will make much of a sense now, unless your phone is brand new, but that's my take on it.
