Hello,
i downloaded the actual driver package for the Sony Z5. The device manager shows me the E6653,
but with the downloaded drivers it won't install these. The device manager says, there is no compatible
driver for 64bit systems.
Anyone who can help me?
Thanks!!!

Hey,
sorry for the delay of the response!
In the meanwhile i solved the problem by myself.
However the system won't detect the driver itself, so deciced to put my Xperia Z1
back on the WIn7 64bit system. This phone worked properly on the system.
I looked after the driver the Z1 used and after that i put the Z5 back on and i manually
set the driver as an MPT device with Microsoft drivers from WIn7 itself, and tataaaaa it
works now!
Thanks for all help guys!!! 🙂
The generic USB drivers included in the Android SDK from Google do work with Xperia devices.

Hi,
I'm not sure what happen and why you need a driver for your Z5, but try to install PC Companion. That should help to resolve your driver issue.
HI guys,
Thanks for your answers!
My problem is, my system don't indentify my phone as phone or whatever, in the device manager it shows up as E6653,
but no driver is installed. 😞
So i downloaded the Z5 drivers. But there is no 64bit driver for my WIn7 64bit system.
I already had the PC Companion, but no working with the Z5. I reinstalled it new, but it also don't identify my Z5.
So i'm helpless 😞
Thanks!
Hi i'm again,
i've the same problem on a other Win7 system, but 32bit.
Thanks!
Ummm...... Can you try to turn on the USB debugging mode to see if windows recognise the phone.
Settings > Build Number (Tap for about 7 time). Back to settings, it should show on the list as 2nd last item. Look for USB debugging and make sure the checkbox is ticked. Restart the phone try to connect it to the pc.
I almost forget, Is that a USB 3.0 or 2.0?
Keep us posted.
