How to unlock my password??!!

Hi guys
I seta password on my phone and I forgot it
How can I unlock it without losing any data
I tried logging into my Xperia but I didn't find my phone
My phone android version is 6.0.1

And I cant even format the phone

I just entered my Google password and then I changed my screen lock password and wait about 20 minutes till it had changed on my device.
