And there is another problem like this video start at 1:54 https://youtu.be/FnPuDa11C24 since 2 days ago, and it make me crazy.
The front camera runs well, but the main camera always keep macro mode since I open it. I have try a normal solution(Clear camera cache and data then restart the phone) but it cannot solve the problem. Anyone can help me please😂
Manual mode
clean the lens/cover. if the sensor picks up stuff on the lens, it might think you want macro
I just watched the video. That's a capture problem to trigger shutter.. it looks like it's stuck in a focus loop
tap to target, then long press camera button until focus lock and release to capture
Thanks for your reply, But it dosn't work. The macro mode still on, and I try to take a photo then it will stuck even the flashlight will keep on. I cannot do anything in the following few minutes. The only I can do is press the on/off button to lock the screen. After I trun on the screen again, I still cannot take any photos and the app still keep on macro mode.😂
Even I have do the factory date reset. The problem still here. One more thing I should mention is, during Android 5, 6 I never met this problem. So I think maybe it's one of a bug of Android 7.1?😂
you cant turn macro mode off which is unfortinate but you can get the camera to work without using macro by using quick launch, yeah its a pain not being able to see it before taking the picture but it works everytime, I use it all the time now and ive got the hang of it being able to possition my phone where i know where it will take the picture, am using this method untill we get the latest update which is called Oreo it was released on certain devices allready so we should get it very soon it is going back to using most of Nougat's settings which is good for us Z5 users, here is a link to a youtube video all about it https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=38&v=Fn57JS9WnAQ I hope this helps GoodLuck.
Same problem here with my Z5. It starts to occur just sometimes, but now the focus is just stucked. I think it's a hardware problem since I reset the phone and nothing change...
So, I decided to tap the phone (have to be a little hard sometimes), where's the camera part, in my hand. It works again for a while. So it's a hardware problem.
As Sony doesn't has warranty in my country, but only in the manufactured one (??!)... I am in this process.
Camera fails, give a knock, come back, etc ... until I buy another smartphone that is not a Sony!!
