Z5c : Camera always at closest focus

Hi,

I have a strange issue, when I'm using the native camera app, the focus is always locked at the closest and the app is showing "macro" all the time. The camera is physicaly able to focus as I can see the focus being at the farest when the app starts and then imediatly comes back to closest focus. And also it's working ok with the google camera app.

I already tried to clear all data and reset the camera app, but this doesn't change a thing.

Any thought ?

Check for scratches on the camera lens

try to point the camera to a landscape, with nothing on the foreground. and or try to focus it on a document. does it detect the changes in auto mode?

I checked for scratches already, nothing, the lens is ok.
I already tired to move between objects close and really far away, doesn't change anything, the camera doesn't event try to refocus. Is there any proximity sensor on the back of the phone for close objects focusing? If there is such things it might be the issue.
I also tried to Google, but couldn't find anyone with the same issue, that's why I opened this post, you are my last chance

a software repair using Xperia Companion one more time might help,. if still not fixed then your last resort would be to send your device for repair at your local service center Local support

I'm going through the same problem on my Z5.
Data erased, phone reset, nothing worked.
I decided to tap the phone (have to be a little hard sometimes), where's the camera part, in my hand. It works again for a while. So it's a hardware problem.
As Sony doesn't has warranty in my country, but only in the manufactured one (??!)... I am in this process. Camera fails, give a knock, come back, etc ... until I buy another smartphone that is not a Sony!!
