Experia z3 Compact After Android 6.0.1 Black screen occurs

I updated new Android 6.0.1 version 2 days ago and now my z3 is having problems to recover from screensaving mode. Phone screen is turning black and only button which is working is Power button. Screen does not react on touch or other actions. Only possibility to get screen back to base view (desktop) is to press Power button long , then I get power off and restart options and I get "return", "home" and "application" -buttons also on. When pressing return arrow I get my Home view again. Problem occurs time to time, sometimes during phone calls, sometimes just when phone goes powermode etc... This is really annoying and makes using the phone really frustrating. Do someone has similar problems after update or do you have any idea what could be wrong?

My wife had exactly the same issue on her z3 Compact after upgrading to 6.0.1. Managed to fix the issue by preventing Style Cover from accessing notifications: Settings->Sound&Notification->Notification Access.

Found the solution on Finnish Muropaketti forum.

This is the problem I'm having with my Sony Experia Z3. When I'm on a call or I making a call. And I need to access my phone's menu for example the phonebook: The screen is meant to light up. But When i move the phone from my ear to in front of me its ment to light up. But it stays blank. I Originally thought the front sensor was broken. Or the sensor was being covered by dirt etc Or something else. Well it turns out to be that the screen adhesive that goes all around the phone to water proof it. The glue is worn-out and it's not sticking properly (This is the Sony Experia Z3phone I'm thinking about.) The adhesive was not keeping the screen level with the frame. So the problem is the (glass screen) NOT THE LCD SCREEN .Just the glass is interfering with the sensor so replace the current (glass screen) or re-apply the adhesive glue that holds the screen down is what u need to pay attention to.(Warning the replacing of glass may crack or shader) So make sure you have a 2nd hand or a replacement glass screen handy just in case you brake it. So Make the new screen flat with the frame around the phone. The sensor should work properly.
