Hello Sony,
I´m only very disappointed about this procedure.
On Kitkat Equalizer has worked with 3rd party apps and now with Lollipop no functionality?!
Please fix it or we are not important for Sony??!
Thanks
We are waiting for the update Sony. Clearaudio was working on 3rd part apps on KitKat. On Lollipop only walkman app has the benefits of clearaudio+.
Please update this bug
I finally got my EQ functionality back doing the following steps (on my Z1):
- Uninstall the updates of the Walkman app and reinstall them (just as you would uninstall an app in Play Store).
-> before doing this the EQ settings were ignored even in the Walkman app.
- uninstall the 3rd party music app (for me Spotify) and reinstall it.
-> fixed the EQ problem for me and also increased the max volume.
This might/should work on the Z3 as well, at least I hope so.
don´t work for me.
Have reboot your phone between the steps?
Can you please try it with an other app? (poweramp etc)
Thanks
No, I didn't reboot. I tried it with Amazon Music, which doesn't work (also uninstalled and reinstalled it, without success).
hello ,i'm a proud new owner of the xperia Z3, i wanted to know if there is any way to enable/install an equalizer for all sounds/media played on the front stereo speakers without rooting and installing a custom ROM, they sound quite muffled ,thx
Hi hauhauhau7,
I took the liberty to move your post to an already existing topic. You can check the following thread on page 5 for further information about the equalizer.
I tried couple of equalizer apps and they worked normally as global effect on youtube etc as they did in kitkat, so I dont think its lollipop or that app devs need to implement it.
Also I found new in lollipop update that unlike the kitkat rom equalizer/headphone settings now work with hd files/dsee hx ON, further the headphones selection is messed up with dsee hx off. So my guess is sony did change something that broke the audio settings global functionality.
