I have seen a few posts from over a year ago about caller at the other end hearing an echo on a call. It seems to have been recognised and resolved with a software update, I got a z5c for christmas which has this problem, I did the software repair as advised and the echohas now gone from the whole call to the first 10 seconds or so. The phone is still under warranty, it was bought second hand, is it worth sending in for a repair ? Dont really want to be without a phone for 2 weeks and then have to pay for the priveledge

I am sorry to hear about this issue, this may not be related to software at all, this could also be due to a bad fitting case causing the audio to echo back into Microphone.
Do you have any form of cover on the device and if so have you tried removing it and testing?
No case and tried safe mode already
I see, in this case, it may be best to run through a software repair to see if the issue is software based, failing this I would then speak with Customer Care about what you could do to get this device repaired directly through them.
