Do Apple Earpods work in the Sony Xperia Z?

I was thinking about buying some apple earpods but im not sure if they work in the Sony Xperia Z

     If anyone has tried the Sony Xperia Z with the Apple Earpods I would really appreciate you telling me if they work, thanks!...

Just tried it out for you and yes they do work. Audio, voice worked just fine.  The volume controls did not do anything but the middle button of the volume controls did start and stop the walkman app playing music.  I used the Apple earbuds that came with the iPhone 4s not the newly designed ones but they should work the same.

These ones, but again the new ones should work the same as they only changed the actual earbud portion not the connector that goes into the phone.

i am using xperia z and want to buy apple's new earpod...i am confused whether the earpod works as fine with xperia z or i have to face compatibilty issue..

There may be a compaibilty issue. I now have a Xperia Z running on Android 4.3. My Apple Earpods work fine. I recently owned a Z1 Compact where they wore´ked fin in Android 4.3, but NOT in Android 4.4. There were other issues too with 4.4 that forced me to get rid of my Z1 Compact. I was not impressed.

So depending a bit on which version of Android you are running, it may or may not work.

I am never upgrading my Android again.

My apple earphones work perfectly fine on my ipod 4g, but on my z2 they dont. I dont really know why, but im confused. I was thinking of buying sony earphones

My Apple earpods does not work on my Xperia, but on my other devices except Sony brand!
