Device was shaken

Hello,
Since I'm with Marshmallow 6.01, when my device is shaken, I have a system popup message "device was shaken" and a vibration. I didn't find any option to stop this warning.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Hi @Shaken, welcome to our community!

I'm sorry to hear about that. Slightly_frowning_Face

Do you see this message every time you shake your device or is it from time to time? I have tried to replicate this but I'm unable to do so.

I would recommend that you reboot your phone in safe mode, and shake the device, just to make sure that the message is not coming from a third party application.

If the message appears as a notification in your phone you can press and hold it and you will see a small white circle with a "!" inside of it, tap it and you will see which app is sending the notification.

Let me know how it went! Slightly_smiling_Face

I really want to say; Not Stirred. Am I allowed to say it?

Check your smart call settings by the way:

SETTINGS>>Call>>Smart Call Handling>> ON/OFF

There's a shake to reject call

Although, normally there is no message to tell you that you have rejected the call by shaking

@Kudo1 : good hint!

In safe mode, the phone doesn't do it. So it's a third party application.

It's not really a notification. It's a small message appearing on the low side of the screen. I can press on it, but nothing happen. And it disappear by itself, I cannot do a screen capture.

Now I will reset my phone and reinstall it to know which third-party application has this behavior...

As it's a long work, I'm won't do it soon, but will keep you posted.

Thanks

Thanks for the update! Slightly_smiling_Face

I'm happy to hear that you aren't experiencing the same behaviour in safe mode. Slightly_smiling_Face

I agree with you, it's quite time consuming to start all over again, it may be easier and less time consuming if you start with uninstalling an app at the time and test if you still see this message appearing on the screen while you shake the device.

I would recommend starting with the apps that you installed recently, since it's most likely one of them that is the cause and not an app that you have had installed for a longer period of time.

Keep me posted and I hope that you will find out which app is causing this so you don't have to reset your phone!

In fact, I began by uninstalling some apps, which resolves my problem...

Now I have to reinstall them, to know which one is creating that behavior...

Thanks a lot

No problem at all, I'm glad I was able to assist you! Slightly_smiling_Face

If you find out which app is causing this I would appreciate if you had the time to tell us about it, so other users on our forum can use the same information if they experience the same behaviour! Slightly_smiling_Face

I wish you the best of luck finding out which app is the cause and let me know if there is anything else I can assist you with!
