Everytime I go to Settings > Display > Wallpaper > Home and/or lockscren > Wallpapers, it shows me wallpapers which I've used previously at the bottom in the horizontal scroll bar.
Where are these stored on the device so that I can delete them permanently? Using Android Marshmallow, if that helps ...

Are you using nova right now? Try to clear app data for the launcher, the files might be stored within the app itself.
Ill try this the next time I see unwanted wallpapers in the wallpaper picker or indeed when I see unwanted wallpapers, Ill load a different launcher to see if the wallpapers change - for now I've deleted what I wanted
