comapitibilty Z1 compact and nosie canceling headset MDR-NC31EM?

I want  noice cancelling earplugs like MDR-NC31EM and a xperia Z1 comapt sized phone?

When I read about the MDR-NC31EM it seems like they will only work with Z2 - but what will work and what will not work if I plug MDR-NC31EM into a Z1 compact?

WIll the noice cancelling owkr or not?

Will answering button work or not?

I think MDR-NC31EM required a 5 ring phone and Z1 compact is a 4 ring phone, or?

Please elaborate on the details!

Or present a Z2 compact with 5 ring technology....

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

Unfortunately MDR-NC31EM is only compatilble with Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z2 tablet. The noice cancelling will not work if you connect it to an Xperia Z1 compact and we can't guarantee that the sound and mic will work as it should.

I'm sorry for the late reply to your post.

Xperia Z5 supports digital noise cancelling so MDR-NC31EM will work just fine with that device, Xperia M5 however does not support digital noise cancelling.
