Can't accept Calls!

While using the phone (don't matter if in a 3rd party app or in native or standby home screen), and somebody calls me a little pop up with the incoming call appears om the top of the screen (DENY/ACCEPT). 

Now it comes: it doesn't matter if i tap on acept or deny call, the phone doesnt react! It continues to ring, and sometimes after tapping several times it does what it should do. 

The problem is not the display, as it works fine everywhere else, and the phone app itself should be ok as i can receive/deny calls when it appears in the full screen while in idle mode. 

I think the problem is that little pop-up GUI. Tried to reset the phone to factory reset, but it does the same also if the phone was unsued before! 

Cannot find any other informations on that in the internet, so i would be happy if somebody could bring me in the right direction where i should start to search the error or if even somebody knows why it does that 🙂

Yes I have done that. And that's not the end i got an update on 11th July which I did thinking it would solve the problem but what was even more frustrating was that after that update the camera functions and the album has started lagging and sometimes the camera just freezes and does nothing. Restarting the device has no effect. And formatting the phone so frequently is very cumbersome. Hope sony people does something before I throw away this phone

Normally you have to swipe.

I have the same issue.

While in lock screen and receiving a call, I swipe the answer key and the phone freezes, the answer and reject keys disappear, however the caller name remains,  and the phone does not answer. I press the power key to turn the screen off and then on, the answer and reject keys come back again, I swipe to answer and the same happens again. 

This is my very first Sony Xperia and it's brand new and I already regret purchasing it. 

Please someone help on this issue

welcome to the "unable-to-answer-calls" fan group. 

when a phone is affected by bugs on very basic functionality the customer quality index drops down so quickly. 

when the phone R&D engineers can't provide for a solution after months of complainign, well, that's the first and last phone from the brand i would buy.

Can you please provide a solution or at least have a more detailed insight on the issue?

Is it a bug or some apps might be causing the issue?

Please try and replicate this as it is highly anoying.

The specific problem I had on the Xperia Z3, and now persists on the Z5 Premium. It is a stable error software, which SONY can't decide on a few series of devices. Moreover, in both models the problem with the buttons or train. Service in Russia is very bad, I am disappointed and I go to devices of competitors.(((
