Can't accept Calls!

While using the phone (don't matter if in a 3rd party app or in native or standby home screen), and somebody calls me a little pop up with the incoming call appears om the top of the screen (DENY/ACCEPT). 

Now it comes: it doesn't matter if i tap on acept or deny call, the phone doesnt react! It continues to ring, and sometimes after tapping several times it does what it should do. 

The problem is not the display, as it works fine everywhere else, and the phone app itself should be ok as i can receive/deny calls when it appears in the full screen while in idle mode. 

I think the problem is that little pop-up GUI. Tried to reset the phone to factory reset, but it does the same also if the phone was unsued before! 

Cannot find any other informations on that in the internet, so i would be happy if somebody could bring me in the right direction where i should start to search the error or if even somebody knows why it does that 🙂

Does your phone has a protective film/case?

could you test it on >>> safe mode ?

Also, settings > about phone > diagnostics > test the screen.

Hi @defx26,

So this only happens when you receive a call while having the phone unlocked? You are able to answer a call on the lock screen without this happening?
I also suggest that you test your phone in safe mode and see if this still happens.

Not OP, but having the same issue with my phone. Safe mode it works as normal, how do I go about narrowing down the 3rd party app causing the issue? Touchscreen registers a touch visually but the call doesn't answer, or I have to repeatedly hit the button for it to work. Thanks

@briggsy I'm afraid it's hard to say, I'm not aware of an app that causes this myself. Maybe @defx26 where able to find the app that caused this?

Depending on how many apps you have downloaded you could either uninstall all of them and then install them one by one until you find the cause, or uninstall them one by one.

I have the exact same issue. Works if the phone was locked prior to the call coming in, but if unlocked (home screen or in app) its as if the notification for it is frozen. It highlights when pressed but doesnt accept or reject the call. I have tried locking the phone while its still ringing but it doesnt lock it just freezes.

I have already taken the following steps with no luck: turning off Xerpia Answer machine (the only setting I ever changed) and clearing data and cache for the three Phone apps that appear under All (Should there even be three?) and all that does is stop my phone from ringing at all.

I would realy appreciate an answer that works as it was a brand new phone and apparently "Software issues arent part of the warranty".

@Reebiesan I'm sorry to hear that. If it behaves the same way in safe mode then I suggest that you perform a software repair using PC Companion. I also suggest that you check if this behaviour remains before restoring any backup if possible.

I have been experience the exact same issue explained before.

The phone is locked, when the incomming call is displayed no tap button is displayed.

If Power /lock button is pressed twice, the tapping button appears but it has no effect.

Only thing i could do is wait for the call to became missed call and then call back.

Even I am facing the same problem.. Using the phone in safe mode also doesn't help me. I guess it's a bug that needs to be removed..
