I have one question: Can I burn the motherboard during the software update using the Xperia Companion application? I used the original USB cable from the phone and I applied strictly to the displayed messages.
Solved! Go to Solution.
@michsiu: i think its just what the device tells you. the software update failed. what you need to do is to connect your device to a wallmount outlet and charge for awhile 1-2 hours.just ignore the boot loops.
then just follow the instructions on how to perform software repair using Xperia Companion
smartphone Sony Xperia Z3
so is it possible to damage motherboard inside the smartphone using only Xperia Companion application (installed on windows 10 64bit) ??
XC should NOT damage your phone, if there's some issue with your computer maybe but highly unlikely
I've never had any problems with other devices connected with this computer and with this computer too. Moreover on the phone screen appears message:
but the seller tells me that I damaged motherboard by updating phone with XC
I can't see the picture until it's approved, is the seller an individual on ebay or amazon or is it a company? what exactly did the seller said?
Yes, exactly - it is an individual. I wrote him, that the phone is under warranty and he replies:
"Yes yes, under warranty. But you have tried to do something with the software on your own. It's not allowed. I'll write an email in the afternoon when I have the final word from my technician."
But I have only connected the phone with my computer using original usb cable and try to update software with XC downloaded from http://support.sonymobile.com/pl/xperiaz3/software/
I'm sorry to hear that but XC it's official Sony's software and you are supposed to use it to update your phone
If you bought it from eBay or Amazon you can contact and they can help you resolve this issue.
