black screen and red LED long blink while connected

My Z1 just went black in my pocket and was un responsive. Connected to the charger and the red light was flashing. Then let it charge over night. Tried to repair it using X Companion, now red LED does a long blink and the X Companion is not proceeding to the next step after the initialization load and connection instructions. Please help.

I am sorry to hear about this. Can you please try holding the power button and the volume up button at the same time. Does it vibrate? If so, try to run the software repair using Xperia Companion again.

If it does not, then you will need to contact your Local support team to arrange a repair.
