Hi, guys.
Turn on battery saver mode.
Settings->Power management->Battery usage
Tap on icon with three dots on the top right side of the screen.
Battery saver will definetly improve your battery life.
This looks like a native issue with Z2 I own. Not sure whether everyone else is experiencing the same.
I charge the phone 100% (I always use original charger)
The phone works great and somewhere when it reaches 80% or 50%, the battery gradually heats up...even if I close all the apps and leave the phone in idle state...it just becomes hot and stays hot. Then the battery drain happens...1% down every few minutes. This goes on until it loses 15% of battery within the span of 10-15 minutes (in normal state 10% battery drain happens in an hour of continuous usage!). Then the battery returns back to this normal temperature and works without any issue as before.
This issue happens with everytime with every cycle of charging. I am afraid whether this phenomenon will increase in future (my phone is just 2 months old).
It running 5.1.1 of Android.
Please let me know if anyone else experience same issue and if there is any solution for the same

Thank you @uliwooly
I will try this.
This PC companion is only for windows or will it work for Linux too? (I have a lap with linuxmint)
Ok thanks.
Before I go ahead with this...can you tell me how this might fix the issue..?
I just want to know theory behind it
PCC will re-download the latest available update to your phone, perhaps it's an app acting up or something and PCC should correct that.
