Hi @Liamz3, welcome to the community.

The following tips can help you improve the battery performance:
  • The battery will be damaged if you leave your device charging for a long time after reaching 100%. To keep this from happening and to extend the battery life, the latest Xperia™ devices have a built-in feature called Battery Care (currently Xperia™ XZ and Xperia™ X Compact). With other device models, avoid continuing to charge your device after it has reached 100%.
  • Downloading data from the Internet is power consuming. When you're not using the Internet, you can save power by disabling all data connections over mobile networks. You can do this from Settings > Wireless & networks > Mobile networks > Data enabled. This setting does not prevent your device from transmitting data over other wireless networks.
  • Turn off GPS, Bluetooth® and Wi-Fi® when you don't need these features. You can easily turn them on and off by adding the Quick settings widget to your Home screen.
  • Activate a number of power-saving features to improve your battery performance (features may differ depending on device model):
    • STAMINA mode: Disable Wi-Fi® and mobile data when the screen is turned off, and restrict hardware performance.  A + like icon appears in the status bar when this mode is activated.
    • Ultra STAMINA mode: Limit your device’s functionality to core tasks such as making phone calls and sending SMS messages.  A battery icon appears in the status bar when this mode is activated.
    • Low-battery mode: Modify your device’s behavior, for example, to adjust screen brightness and the screen timeout setting, when the battery level drops below a certain percentage. A timer-like icon appears in the status bar when this mode is activated.
    • Queue background data: Optimise outgoing traffic when the screen is off by sending data at pre-defined intervals.
Note! The STAMINA mode and Low battery mode features are available from Android™ 4.1 and later. Some products using Android™ 4.0, or which were updated from Android™ 4.0 to later versions, have Extended Standby Mode. It is also a feature that reduces battery consumption.
  • Set your synchronisation applications (used to synchronise your email, calendar and contacts) to synchronise manually. You can also synchronise automatically, but increase the synchronisation intervals.
  • Check the Battery usage menu in the device to see which applications use the most power. Your battery consumes more power when you use video and music streaming applications, such as YouTube™. Some third-party applications also consume more power.
  • Uninstall applications that you are not using.
  • Lower the screen display brightness level.
  • Change the notification level for applications.
  • Turn off the location-sharing permission for applications
  • Keep your device in standby whenever possible. Standby time refers to the time during which the device is connected to the network and is not being used.
  • Areas with poor reception or signal strength increase the drain on the battery and shorten talk and standby times. Operating the device for a significant amount of time in areas with poor signal strength results in less than optimum battery performance.
  • Turn off your device or use Airplane mode if you are in an area with no network coverage. Otherwise, your device repeatedly scans for available networks, and this consumes power.
  • Use a ‎Wi-Fi network instead of roaming when abroad. Roaming is scanning for your home network and puts additional demands on your battery as your device must transmit with a higher output power. If low signal strength is displayed on the device, it means that it must transmit at a higher output power to reach the cell tower, putting additional demands on the battery.
  • Use a Sony original handsfree device to listen to music. Handsfree devices demand less battery power than the phone's loudspeakers.
  • Switch to a wallpaper that is not a Live wallpaper. Live wallpapers consume more power.
In case you have checked all the above steps and still perceive that the battery does not last as long as expected:
  • Try to update your Xperia™ device to a new software version using Xperia™ Companion.
  • Perform a factory data reset or perform a software repair using Xperia™ Companion. Note! Always back up all personal data before performing a factory data reset or a software repair. All data in the internal memory is overwritten during a software repair. Content on an external SD card is kept. Also, make sure you know the username and password of the Google account you're using on the device, as these might be needed to access the device after a software repair.
  • Contact your retailer or a Sony Mobile repair partner. Note! Before handing the phone over for service, back up all your data to avoid possible data loss. Data on the device may gets deleted when examined. Don't forget to bring proper documentation, for example, proof of purchase and warranty card. The documentation required may vary depending on market, country or region. If possible, deactivate the Protection by my Xperia and remove the Google™ accounts on your device before sending it in for service or repair to prevent Protection by my Xperia or Google™ Device Protection from locking your device.
