Alarms and firmware 23.5.A.1.291

I have just installed the new marshmallow firmware 23.5.A.1.291 on my D6503 Z2. Mostly pretty happy with it apart from one feature which I can't figure out. I use my Z2 as an alarm clock as many of us do,  I set it to ringtone: none and vibrate:on.  This way my partner is not disturbed but I hear the gentle buzzing as it vibrates on the bedside table.  With the new firmware if I activate stamina mode to  "always on"  it disables the vibration feature and I cannot find any way of turning it back on for the alarm (I am not worried about vibration with any other functions ie calls, typing etc). So now even though the alarm vibrate check box is checked no vibration occurs (and of course as I have selected no ringtone. no sound either). Woke up late today!

Any ideas or is vibration completely disabled under stamina mode with no exceptions? In which case if I want vibration only alarms I cannot use stamina mode.

Hi @jc2016,

@uliwooly is right, the vibration is completely turned off when STAMINA-mode is enabled. There is unfortunately no way around this. However if you disable STAMINA Doze will still kick in after a while, which will limit the use of background activites leading to the battery lasting longer. If possible, try one night without using the STAMINA-mode and let the phone use Doze instead.

Thats a pity re the complete removal of it. In previous version of stamina it was not affected in this way. It does work in normal mode..ie with the new stamina turned off and simply relying on Android Doze. Thanks for the replies.

Stamina without vibration is totally useless for me.

One more reason not to install the update and stay on KitKat.
