even a 16 gb sd card would show me 14.8gb usable space in windows.
whats the 14.8-11.57=3gb of memory reserved for? backup? sony's own overlay?
then if i install something like cyanogenmod which has nothing to do with sony, would I get those space back?
what about the ram? i upgrade my pc all the time, and 4gb of ram is 4gb of ram, 16gb is 16gb.
whats sony's excuse for taking away part of the ram?
I have a strong feeling that the xperia z2 doesn't even have a separate ram. all it comes with is 16gb=14.8gb
2.7gb is shared as ram, and 300mb is reserved for the system.
if thats the case, then i'm really really dissapointed at sony.
"The Xperia™ Z2 has about 3 GB of RAM available to the Android OS and applications, of which about
200 MB is already used out of the box."
I see, I guess thats just the way of sony's own firmware overlay eating up the ram.
Umm it not just Sony, android, any computer, operating system, device will use ram, internal storage, etc
you are right, maybe its the gpu. thanks for the pdf, its really nice.
i will search them up for newer phones that i plan to get.
rofl, my ram on my pc is 16gb, the task manager shows 16gb and 2.7gb used
my z2 shows 1.8gb used, 0.9gb free, total is only 2.7gb
