I mean REAL 4 k videos like the ones in 4k chanel.

Also the XZ Premium gets very warm when viewing 4k videos at 2160@60HDR

Yup, choppy as. Hopefully a youtube app issue as opposed to a 835 issue.

Recently 4k videos have started stuttering on YouTube, even videos I'd previously watched in 4k now seem to play in slow motion. This is over WiFi and 4g and isn't a bandwidth problem.

@Shimceltic does the video quality in YouTube app say HDR? because YouTube has enabled HDR playback for some devices (including XZP and Samsung Galaxy S8) and I've seen owners of those phones complaining about stuttering playback.

Yes it's the hdr videos. I'm sure these played ok previously

Yes i just realised that 4k hdr videos stutter...not that badly but it does stutter...
