Will the batterie-care function still work if I do not use the Sony-own charging cable?

as far as I know Battery Care doesn't require any special kind of cable or charger. just keep in mind that third party cables might not be up to standards and potentially damage the battery or the phone.

Hi @Annilein48, welcome to our forum!

Just as @najodleglejszy wrote, as far as I also know, the function is not limited to only work with the original cable and the charger that was included in the box with your device, however we do always recommend that you only use original cables and chargers from Sony to charge your device.

The Battery care feature will collect data based on when the charger is plugged in and removed from the device and it does not matter if it's a regular charger or a quick charger that is used and based on that information, it should not matter which cable you are using.
