Wireless Charging on XZ2

this is my first smart phone to needless to say this is also my first qi supported phone.  i bought one of those cheap wireless bank chargers from ebay and im not sure if there is something that needs to be enabled in the sony phone or the charger is not working.

can someone tell me if there is anything that needs to be enabled in the phone to allow wireless charging?

anyway...if not working i know i got what i paid for but i only wanted to try it

Nothing needs to be enabled.

Just not that the Qi charging plate inside your XZ2 in placed in the lower half of the phone. If you place the phone centred on the charging plate it might not charge. Try to place it off-centred.

thanks for the reply.  yes, ive tried almost every position and ive come to the conclusion that either the bank is bad or my xz2 compact isnt wirelessly charging

this bank kinda works on my wifes iphone x but shut down after 5 mins or so for no reason.  she thinks even though it says charging, it really isnt

one other thing i fogot to msntion but i dont think it has any bearing on the issue

the usb port does seem to charge the sony phone, however, i didnt leave it on for very long, maybe 5 mins

It isn't, XZ2 Compact doesn't support wireless charging, only the larger XZ2 does.

this is indeed bad news as there are many ads in both ebay and amazon that has wireless charging units for the xz2 compact.  i very disappointed with this news and the fact that i have already bought several wireless charging units for amazon and waiting for it ti arrive
