When I'm on a call if someone else rings me they get ring tone not engaged tone. Can I alter this

Check if you have call waiting activated, if it is on this will be why the caller hears the call ring through even if you are on another phone call.

Depending on what Android version you are running you will be able to check this following the steps below:

Android 8.0:

Find and tap Phone.

Tap the menu button (three vertical dots), then tap Settings.

Tap Calls > Additional settings.

Tap the Call waiting slider to enable/disable the function.

Android 5.0 - 7.0:

From your Home screen, tap the Application screen icon.

Find and tap Settings > Call > Additional settings.

Un-mark the Call waiting checkbox.

Once you have turned off call waiting, that should resolve this for you
