Always had a weak signal where I live, one or two bars but my phones have always managed to make and receive calls,my xz2 will often not make or receive calls, I regularly switch the phone off to reset it and this doesn't improve the problem, I am an emergency response rider and often have to use my work phone in buildings with a weak signal one or two bars but it works. I then need to use my own phone to keep my work phone free and the signal goes completely off. I do get a full bar signal in some areas so I think it's the phone design rather than a faulty handset.
