Switching Sims reboot phones

Is it normal that the phone reboots to optimize when switching data between sim1 n sim2??

I'm sorry that this has taken some time. I just got information today.

This happens when you have two SIM’s that needs different configurations. The active configuration is chosen based on the SIM card being used. In this case it is the modem parameters that make sure the connection works well with the current SIM. So when the data connection is moved to a SIM requiring different settings, the phone reboots to change them.

I just switched from Z5 Dual to XZ,when with Z5 Dual, the phone didn't have to reboot when i changed which SIMcard to be active from the settings menu.

Now with the same 2 SIMcards, the XZ has to reboot.

This is a big drawback that XZ has to reboot everytime i change which SIMcard to be active, as i travel alot between 2 countries...i don't think other dualSIM phone makers also force to reboot when changing active SIMcards...

Will the new OS update (Nougat) resolve this issue?

I'm really sorry about that you only feel sorry for that and fix nothing.:smileyangry: I kept suffering from the rebooting issue everyday, since I need to travel between countries everyday. I kept tolerating since z1 till now, I've bought all your series in the good vision that you guys will fix it. Today when I get my xz Premium, it reboots again. While all other phones, including some Chinese phones, don't need. I feel like an idiot to trust in you and be fooled once again. I SWEAR THIS IS THE LAST SONY PHONE I'D EVER HAVE!

This happens for only India Xperia XZ models.. For other countries it doesn't restart.. Personally i tested.. Other Countries OS Volte is disabled but Restart doesn't happen if we switch sim data

Thats not the solution and so please remove the marking this as solution and provide us with a fix once for all. We are very much annoyed of the issue. I have been an admirer of sony for years, but you guys are diminishing day by day. Get it fixed ASAP. Thanks.

Its not only Indian problem. I am from Russia and have same issue. But most stranger thing is that not all xz premium users in Russia have same issue. I do... And its so annoying!
