HI I'm from the Myanmar.. I received a Sony Xperia XZ from a relative who used to live in US. I put my sim but there's no signal, when I check the menu there's sim tool kit. So I want to ask if it is network lock?
I have called *#*#7378423#*#*, and gone into the Service Info -> SIM lock menu. The screen info is:
[x] Network 0
[ ] Network subset 0
[ ] Service provider 0
[ ] Corporate 0
[ ] SIM 0
What do I do now?
Hi @Thantzinhtwe, welcome to the community.
It does appear that your phone has a SIM lock on it. You may need to contact the network the handset is locked to to unlock it from that network.
Did you manage to fix the locked phone?
Hi, same problem here but after getting the unlock code from the provider. They tell me this:
If the number next to “Network” is zero, you would need to visit
http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/support/contact-us
Our unlock code is correct for the IMEI supplied, but Sony must reset the counter on your device to allow the code to be inputted.
They will give you the full information through their website form.
So they've thrown the ball into your court.
