Hello and sorry if my English is not understandable.
I have a irritating problem with my Xperia XZ1 Compact with Android 8.0 and its only a problem on my xz1, any other makers with Android 8.0 works as intended.
I can't send or receive MMS if I have "data" disabled, normally on any other phones when I send or get an MMS the phone automatically activates data (MMS APN, not "Internet access APN") and disables it when the MMS is sent or received, why doesn't my XZ1 do that?
I contacted my carrier and there were no problems with the settings and they pointed the finger to you (Sony), so here I am, trying to understand how to overcome this problem.
I have tried another messenger but no difference, I can see that people are trying to send me an MMS but it's only a circle with file size in it, the phone does not notify me about it before it's too late and I get an error message telling me I can download the MMS from my carriers site 5-10 hours later. If internet-data is active I can send and receive them instantly.
