Static IPV4 IP Address doesn't help at all. In my case, the Xperia is usually connected via IPV6, but switching to static IP4 has no effect.
Greetings
Hello guys, I am going crazy please help me, the wifi is disconnecting every 2 minutes and I tried my XZS on so many different networks and the same thing happened so please I need your help.
I've just got a Xperia XZ for a few hours. I also suffered this problem. I found out that it's not caused by the software or hardware but the design. The antenna can't receive the signal through the screen or the metal backplate. So it only can transfer everything through the two sides. The antenna receiver is located at the above half. So if you hold your hand in this position or in the horizontal ways, the signal will be dropped. Or you could see that if you lay it on the table and there's nothing around it, the signal will be perfect and stable.
I don't think so, because I almost never hold the phone in a horizontal way and the wifi drops even while it's on the table and nothing around it.
Hi I am using Sony Xperia XZ and please help me about my issue. I just bought my wifi yesterday August 17, 2017. My problem is my phone always disconnects frequently. How should I do about this?
Same problem here, WiFi randomly dropps off and I sometimes have to reconnect to it manually, sometimes it connects automatically. Please help me with it, I did everything from this link:
http://support.sonymobile.com/global-en/xperiaxz/faq/my-wi-fi-connection-keeps-dropping/
and it didn't help.
I've had a case open with Sony Mobile care for 8 months now. Support is absolutely non existent, just a joke which is really disappointing as a long time Sony customer.
I'm sure the Wi-Fi issue is related to their new power optimisation feature basically not working. If I connect to my home network and stream music from my XZ through my 5Ghz home network to my Sonos player the music contunually drops out as "the connection to Sony F8331 was lost".
I don't have Stamina mode turned on, and I've tried adding Sonos the apps that aren't Battery Optimised (in the Battery Optimisation setting in the three dot menu under Settings > Battery), but it's still the same. Interesting thing is if I sit the phone in a charging cradle and play my music the same way, it doesn't drop out which is what makes me think it's a power issue.
Sony have made me swap the phone three times now, but fail to accept this is clearly a design flaw in the XZ. My Z3 Compact works fine on the same network and Sonos setup as does a loan Sony ZA and my wife's iPhone so it's definately a Sony XZ issue. I just wish they would accept this and fix it!
Ive also been having this problem along with a few other problems since only recently buying the XZ..
