Laser autofocus

Hi,
is there still laser autofocus that was introduced in XZ? 
I do not see this information in product specs

According to the information that I have available, the Laser AF Sensor is featured in the Xperia XZ Premium as well!

I received some further information this morning regarding your question about when the laser AF is being used.

When you are about to take a picture, Laser AF is always activated to measure the distance to the object. However, the measured value is only applied when taking a picture in low light and/or low contrast conditions.  If the picture is shot in conditions with sufficient light and contrast, the data collected by the Laser AF isn't used by the camera.

This applies for all devices with the laser AF feature!

However, i saw the information  over Internet that Sony managed to update it for XZ Premium in a way that allows to use it in bright conditions as well. Hmm. 🤔

That is the information that I received and I asked specifically regarding XZ Premium and if it was the same for that phone model, compared to our other devices with laser AF and it is.

May I ask where you read about it being changed in Xperia XZ Premium?
