You can either disable it, and that's that

you could root the phone and uninstall it

you could flash a different firmware so you can uninstall it or it won't be preloaded

FB is disabled, but as i mentioned, for some security reasons my mobile bank app won't work if i root the phone. Banking app is one of most important apps to me.

That different firmware is interesting. I am aware these alternative firmwares but i never dare to try them because fear of bricking my phone.

There's nothing wrong with current official firmware. It's seems to be very stable and it has quite sleek overall function. Only  these non-removal apps annoy me a lot. Especially FB, which was removable my old Z3+ if i remember correctly.

it's not that hard to flash, and as long as you don't unlock the bootloader it should be ok, with that said, which firmware do you have? (Counrty, is it locked to a carrier/network)

FW version is 45.0.A.7.90. Baseband 8998-8998.gen.prodQ.00078-08. Country: Finland. Carrier: Elisa. Phone is unlocked. As far as I know, any of Finnish carriers won't sell sim locked phones anymore.

You have to unlock the bootloader to flash a firmware. Here there are the instrunction about doing it: https://developer.sonymobile.com/unlockbootloader/unlock-yourboot-loader/.

After that you have lock it back again because you would miss system updates and some security-related features.

You need flashtool and/or ADB.

no, you don't have to unlock bootloader in order to flash official Sony software.

That^^

You do not need to unlock BL in order to flash an official firmware.

I have no intensions to unlock the bootloader. Too much risks involved.  Is there Sony official FWs, which allow free removal of any app? By the way, that links supported devices list does not include XZ Premium.

I'm pretty sure when I bought my xz1 compact it was not embedded. Was this in fact added in on the last android update for this phone recently? I'm almost certain I uninstalled it before in order to fresh start it?? How much is Facebook paying to force it onto android/sony/Samsung?? 🙄 This annoys me a great deal.
