If you mean the app, have you tried uninstalling it from the app section..?

Hi @Spankplanker and welcome to the community! Slightly_smiling_Face

To delete a app you can go to: Settings > Apps > App name > Uninstall/Disable

Note that not all pre-installed apps can be unistalled. Some of these apps can be disabled instead.

Let me know if this answers your question.

Disabling an app is NOT the same a deleting it. This is another complaint that I have against ALL cell phone manufacturer's. We should be able to DELETE unwanted apps...PERIOD. I never have used facebook and I never will. It is crapware. I don't care if it takes very little space... the issue is that it IS taking up space that I PAID FOR and do not want it, or many of the other pices of crapware installed on this phone! Sony, are you listening????

Was it the same on other xperia in the past?

Don't know if it was on any previous Xperia phones but it is on the Premium and can only be disabled.

I strongly agree. Not every human in this planet want to use Facebook, or any other social media, even they seem to think so. I always keep safe distance to FB. I hate it because it's way to exploit and spy their users.

For my point of view, it's complete bloatware and waste of memory. And i know lots of people, who think the same.

I can't root my device, because my mobile bank app won't work in rooted devices. (At least here in Finland)

So it's really hard to understand, why FB app (or any other app) is nailed permanently to this otherwise spectacular phone. Even they are nailed, i don't use them anyway, so what's the point? Why on earth i can't choose which apps i delete and keep?
