Answering machine in Xperia XZ premium

I could not find answering machine in any of the settings ?
Has Sony stopped this feature ?

PS: I think it would have been a very strong USP

Does your network not provide a free voicemail service?

Yeah they do, but I liked the idea that I didn't have to go to any "outside" sources to get voicemail when it was saved right there on the phone. Also now I have a PIN to remember and all sorts of other rubbish. The answering machine was more simpler and less steps. I'm simple, I like simple things Winking_Face

Thank you Sony, for beeing such a stu*id company. Believe it or not, you had one feature that stand out of the rest of the competition, and this was the beautifull answering machine. I also used it, and now that my Z5 premium dual broke, I was in a big dillema wether to get XZ premium dual, or other phones like pixel 2 XL or huawei mate 10 pro. And the only reason that I would choose XZ over the other phones was the answering machine. Because in all other aspects Sony phones are not worthy, in my humble opinion. So now, you have taken my dillema away.

Its a shame that you dont know how to stand out from the rest. And this functionality was extra usefull for many of us.

Back to Samsung, or I may try huawei mate 10 pro... I think this is the winner for this year. Sony doesnt offer anything spectacular, anymore.

No. There are regions where Voicemail is a paid service, like Australia. If you have a prepaid service and you're out of credit you cannot access voicemail until you buy more. I'm guessing Sony discontinued Ansering Machine because of pressure from the Telcos.
