Z5C Bluetooth problem (no media) Parrot MKI9200

Hey guys,

I have a huge problem with my Z5C I received a few days ago. When I try to connect it to my car stereo (Parrot MKI9200) it kind of connects (is paired, but doesn't show up as a paired device). I also can make calls and receive them, but I get no audio whatsoever from any player (tried the native one, Spotify and Youtube).

It also shows, on the phone, that it is connected but has no media (even though I checked the box in it's bluetooth settings). I know for sure that it can play media because I used it for 4 years before on many devices (iPad, iPhones, Z3C, Samsung Galxy S3 and many many more).

So I came to the conclusion that it is a problem with my Z5C and I am kind of desperate. I hope anybody has a software fix for my problem.

Thank you very much in advance,

So after this post I had my phone swapped for a new one and I still have bluetooth problems. Slightly_frowning_Face

My LG Watch - is hit and miss when using the voice features e.g OK google and replying to messages. I have to switch the bluetooth on and off to make it work again..

I will log the problem and send it to you...

Smart Connect should fix your problems, you will need to create a new event for what you want, then restart the devices.

Thats works for me on my Z5C.

I have an event that enables bluetooth audio connect when bluetooth is connected the mki9200, when it stops working i restart the phone and the streaming works fine

No success with the Smart Connect Event, thanks for the advice.

did you restart your phone after you created the event?

if you dont restart the phone, the workaround doesnt work

I tried it, but didn't work. It is not only the bluetooth audio that doesn't work. Already the pairing doesn't seem to work correctly, there are no contacts and no paired device listed on my parrot mki. Also tried to disable contact sync, doesn't work neither.

Is your parrot on the latest firmware too?

What event did you create in smart connect?

Yes, my MKi has the latest firmware.

In Smart Connect I created an event to enable bluetooth audio connect.

Remember my earlier post, as I told that my girlfriend has the "same" phone and it works with my MKi (contact sync and media).

I don't know much about hardware but I compared the hardware of the two phones (with Droid Info App) and the only thing differes is the Baseband version. Build version and kernel are different, because I use the concept rom.

I want to be helpful but check out the other Bluetooth thread, the Bluetooth on the Z5 series is completely borked.

Keep providing the feedback and logs, I've had BT Snooping on for about half a day and I've not had a disconnect or problem so I'd like to understand what the debug function enables that the standard setup doesn't.

Hello,

I have a Z3 Compact suferring from the same with a Parrot Mk9000i...it connects to the device but with no media.
The workaround is to go to bluetooth settings, click the gear next to parrot (or other bluetooth device) and then turn off media and turn it on again.

It's a pain to do this everytime and while driving, Sony are turning driving dangerous....
