XZ not able to sustain a long conversation over bluetooth headset

Hi... I just got an issue, I realised the XZ was not able to sustain bluetooth connection over a long conversation, In many cases, not more than 3 minutes, it just swings back to the phone mic and speakers, and I have to continue my conversation from there. It is very irritating. I tried 3 different bluetooth headsets (plantronics legend, Jabra, backbeat go) all have same results. Can anyone help?

I have been using my XZ for weeks having long conversations using bluetooth. Until last weeek I had no BT issues, but recently I started to have exactly the same issue using SBH-52 or MDR10BT.

Have you guys activated any kind of energy saving option? (like stamina, battery saving app).

I would try to discard everything regarding that...

No issues at all with bluetooth calls on my xz running 7.0

I have had a very similar issue with my car BlueTooth.  After approximately 15 minutes, the call switches to the handset.  The only way to get it back on hands free is to then reset the audio on the call options - obviously not something that can be done safely whilst driving.

I have downloaded and applied the latest update (just released today 39.2.A.0.361) to see if it will make any difference?  But there is no option to roll back to a previous stable release. i.e. the release that worked when I bought the device.

In addition, the information on the firmware updates , does not give any information about bugs that have been fixed.  So I am left in the dark as to whether this update will actually do anything for me.

As a consumer, we must have the ability to roll back an update when it is shown not to be working.  I am getting increasingly frustrated with the Sony approach of throwing out updates, changing the interface and introducing issues with no way to resolve issues by rollign back to a known good release.
