I've installed Smart Compass (app is marked as compatible on google play) on my new Tipo and it doesn't work - needle never moves. gsmarena spec says it has a compass sensor but no mention of it in the Sony white paper. Which is it ?

It's a budget phone. With such good specifications from Sony.
You can't get an Xperia at such low price. Don't expect miracles!
It already have Wifi, GPS, good Camera and music quality. Seriously, What else do you want?
I agree its a budget phone, but the tipo fails to perform on the basic usage.
Phone has echo problems, voice breakage..
