I need to save all contacts to SD card and phone mameory, checka nd resovle my query.

Hi @Kiraichigo,

There is no feature in the contacts application to save your contacts directly to your SD card.

When you create a contact in the phone you will have the option to save them on the internal storage (no backup) or save the contact on for example, a Google account.

If you previously you have chosen to save the contact to your Google account you may need to change it to the internal storage.

Start with opening up the Contacts application and press the little "+" icon > you will now get  the option where you want to save your contact, if you don't you should see the menu where you can add name, number and so forth for this contact.

Just below first and last name it will say which account the contact will be stored in, if it says "Google contact" and your gmail address is shown, tap on it and choose "Phone contact".

If you want to export your contacts to your SD card you can do so by opening the Contacts application > 3 dots > Export contacts > SD card. A vcard file will now be created on your SD card, like @uliwooly recommended.

Hello again!

I tried to replicate this on an Xperia M4 Aqua with the latest software installed, but I weren't able to do so. I took 2 screen shots, 1 without a Google account added and one with a Google account added.



And when I added the Google account it looks like it does below:



How much free space do you have on the internal storage in your phone? Settings > Storage.

You can also clear data for the Contacts application, this will not remove any contacts that you have saved in your phone. To do that go to Settings > Apps > Contacts > Storage > Clear data. Try creating a new contact again.

If you remove your Google account, are you able to save contacts to the internal storage then? Go to Settings > Accounts > Google > 3 dots > Remove account. Do note that this will delete the Google account from the phone so you will need your credentials at hand to add it again.
