Is there a way of connecting a USB cable to my PC and use the Broadband Internet from the PC on the phone? The phone doesn't have WiFi but can the USB cable act as the same??
If you go to Settings--Connectivity--USB--Advanced--Internet access--Via computer(or similar route). If you have this feature in your USB settings, then it's possible.
Hey thanks for that Dr_Chris, I have checked and I do have this feature. I went to Connectivity / USB and under Set Default Mode it is set to PC Mode (Windows) if I go back to USB and then to Advanced / Internet Access, it appears to be set to Via Computer. Now I tested this and it still appears to be getting it's data of the mobile internet not the PC. Have I missed something?
Cheers:smileyhappy:

In that case, disable your mobile internet access by deliberately selecting the wrong internet setting (Settings--Connectivity--Internet settings--Connect using: change this by selecting something different) or create a dummy one, as your phone might be using its own internet access by default. You could also try using it through PC companion.
Ok PC Companion...silly question but how do I do that please?
