August, hope can see the news for SonyEricsson SATIO update.

but I things:

45% : No any update for SATIO.

25% : Bugs fix for SATIO.

15% : Many bugs fix for SATIO with RESPONSE SPEED IMPROVEMENT plus some new feature.

10% : Upgrade SATIO from Symbian ^1 to ^3 (But this one need contract with NOKIA ... ....)

05% : Change SATIO from Symbian ^1 to Android (Open Source but important is need rewrite, more hard, also SonyEricsson not yet settle X10 update, any maybe contract problem.)

Anyway, everyone is waiting the best solution from SonyEricsson.

SO REMEMBER ALL, DUN WRITE ANY ANGRY, DUN WRITE ANY OVERDOSE CHANGES OR MODIFICATIONS, DUN WRITE ANY COMPLAINS.

I bought Satio February 2010 in Taiwan, because the Indonesian market was no available stock . At first I thought SE Satio would have a good product enhancement because the price is not cheap. And products such as SE has ever used GF388, P910, P990, P1, K850, K810 is not too disappointing.

SE Product in Indonesia are not much cheaper than other vendors, but I still prefer SE because of the quality and excellences.
But  SE Satio product really disappointing, I feel  cheated by SE, which  is more expensive Satio Why no attention at all compared Vivaz? Is it because there are no profits from the saling Satio that can cover the costs for maintenance, upgrade the device?

At Jakarta's market Satio second hand pricing dropped drastically around IDR.3,300,000 or USD.368

If until the end  of september 2010 still no upgrades for Satio available, then believe  me Satio is the last SE Phone I ever Had. Not only that, I will tell my friends or family members not to buy SE products.
For information, that my whole families members  are using SE products total more than 20 units of various types. Not to mention the facility for employees with SE products.
By not developing software for Satio, the SE had a preparation and not afraid of losing their loyal customers ...

So why should we as a customer continue using their product?

Hopefully someone can provide information on which vendors should be considered to replace the SE.

I will say it again, SE dont give a shit about Satio customers and X10 customers either of which is going the upgrade that the want.

Satio users  WONT get kinetic scrolling etc and X10 users WONT get the android 2.2 upgrade either !!

No point in asking them for anything as they are too busy developing new phones and arent interesting in maintaining existing ones, thats just the way it is with SE now.

Well, it's been mentioned a few times here already!

SE, if you really have no more interest in the Satio, then there really is only one quick way out for you guys to redeam yourselves...

Release a small update that is unlocked so that others can continue to make the Satio into a better phone!

There have already been numerous versions of other software that drastically improve the phone and it's functionality but since we all updated our phone, we can't use it anymore!

If you can't do a simple thing like that for us, then there really won't be any hope!

Who says you won't drop us with any of the newer phones too?!?!?!

Please Sony!

You have heard MANY people crying about this phone and yet it has sooooooooo much potential!

As I said, if you guys don't want to continue improving this phone, then let the rest of the community do it for you!

I have been using SE or Ericsson for over 10 years now and would hate to change! But the way it is going, I might not have a choice if you keep on like this!

It was a VERY expensive phone when I got it last year October and I would hate to have something happen to it or even have to replace it with a Nokia (shudder!!!) or Samsung.

Again....

Help us to help you regain some of your unhopefull customers!

Dear SE Team Members, Moderators and fellow users,

Wow. If there is one thing that's clear, it's that SE has a fiercely loyal customer base. I say 'has' because I still think SE can salvage the situation, realize the full potential of some incredible hardware and satisfy these customers.

When I say fiercely loyal, I'm talking about people who'd argue tooth and nail against all other mobile brand owners  (far outnumbering SE before the k750i) and actually convert a few people to SE. And come what may, they'd stick to SE. My first love was the K750i, a phone so far and above the rest that it created a new benchmark. This was back when SE listened to what customers wanted and gave them far more than they expected. Incidentally, a constant feature in all the SEs I owned was unbelievable battery life.

But for me, their first debacle in the high end smartphone space was the W960i. They wanted to piggyback on the P1i's success, but they did not step forward and improve on their UIQ interface (infact it was a lot more laggy than the P1i).And that was the start of a series of disappointments, the Satio being the biggest.

In my opinion, the three worst things any mobile phone company can do are:

1. Announce a phone and then launch it WELL AFTER the competition has a chance to respond, or the buzz has died down completely

2. Release a phone with so many bugs, that the initial thrill of unboxing and switching it on soon turns into disappointment and then disgust.

3. Release software updates that are so far away from what is desired, that the anticipation and excitement turns into anger.

SE, it seems, have stopped listening. Instead of flooding the market with new phones (not doing that too well either), they should have focussed on perfecting the ones they've released. Sure, one could argue that today's customers frequently want to change/upgrade, but they also look for quality and are willing to shell out big bucks. They're not going to spend 500 - 600 dollars every year on a phone, so give them a fantastic experience for that year at least. When you claim to work on upgrades for 2 years, then substantiate these claims and have something to show for them.

PLEASE listen to your customers.  The point of having the SE product blog and this forum is exactly that. But the moment you offer customers a direct line to you and don't respond back effectively, you are setting yourself up for failure. And the irony of all of the above is that even if you do come out with a winning phone, most customers will wait for video reviews, comments on forums like this before buying it. In that time, your competitors could pull the rug out from under your feet.

SE, your fiercely loyal customers have lost faith. Faith is extremely hard to win back. The same goes for reputation and market size. So I implore you to act now, before the hole you've dug yourself into swallows you entirely.

As it seems, the Satio will be relegated to a "could have been" category, and so will Sony Ericsson I'm afraid.

With all this text they say that Satio is a outdated phone and being substituted by android based phones.

So for SE Satio is very good as it is at the moment.

I absolutely think this is unfair, my phone is always freezing and locking up, in addtion to saying 3G capable, doesn't work on my 3G network.   And THIS is what they call running acceptably; that this is as good as it gets? WOW, talk about a company not having any respect for their products.  Does anyone know if there is basis for a class action lawsuit or something similar to recover our lost money for a half-assed product?  There has to be something about reasonable support and product life.

at least fix the bugs the phone has, freezen, camera is too slow, when you use the video recorder, the phone freezes, sorry for my english, please give us an update, this phone has a lot of bugs, if anyone can hear us,  we need some help with this phone, i would not like to change my phone for other brands, thank you...
