Hello to all of you!
My sister got from our dad several months ago a Z3. The phone is bouth over a mobile operateur. In Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Now, my sister had an accident with her phone, where a glas of water was spilled on her phone. It worked. Then it stopped working. The seller is saying that there is no garantee for a water damage. But i have read that people from for example Germany got a warranty. How can it be that in one country I dont get a warranty and in another you do for the same product? Especially because, the average income here is about 400 €, so its much harder to buy such a phone then in the more developt part of the world.
Thanks in advance
Hi @lxandar,
I'm so sorry to hear about what has happened to your sisters phone.
I'm afraid I work in an different market than the one you are located in and I won't be able to help you with market specific inquiries.
However your Local support team are experts on your market and will be able to help you with your questions regarding warranty, service routines and so forth.
Let me know how it went!
Hi @Jonas,
Hi @uliwooly,
First of all thank you for your time.
Well, thank you Jonas, but the links you posted says unfortunately nothing about who to call for Bosnia and Herzegovina. I got into an online chat for the german speaking countries, because my german is way better then my english. He refused to tell me anything and said I should speak to the seller. Problem is, the seller says "I don't give a guarantee for water damage and I have no information about Sony support for B&H". And on the Sony sites (including your links), I can't find that information either. So, its quite frustrating. Its bad for a company to treat people like in some kind of castes. It can't be that I am not able to find for 3 days a contact person for B&H and especially if it turns out that someone from for example Italy gets a better warranty than I. This is just not acceptable.
A question: I have relatives in Swiss. Is it possible for me, to give the Z3 to Sony in the Swiss so they can proof if there is a warranty case? I mean, its the same product, right?
Thanks in advance
Uliwooly, thank you for your advice. But I'am sceptical that the seller and the Sony representative (if I ever find them) will be willing to do that. I'll give it a shot.
Thanks again.
Hello again!
You can contact your local support team if you send them an email at the email address below:
questions.ba@support.sonymobile.com
They will be able to answer your questions regarding service routines and warranty.
If the phone model you have is launched in Switzerland you should be able to get it repaired there, however I'd recommend that you contact the local support there since they have more information regarding the Swiss market than I do.
Let me know how it goes!
