Long story short I dropped my Xperia acro S and I cracked the screen and apparently put it out of work as it is completely black, but I think the touch still works as I can till swipe to unlock the phone and feel it respond by vibrating.

Anyway I want to replace the entire thing and I have to do it since where I live no one will do it. I want to order a Sony Xperia acro S complete screen assembly from parts4repair.com and using a video on how to replace Xperia arc screen as a guide to replacing mine. Now can this be done? first of all have I got the right product from part4rapair? Also can I use Xperia arc as a guide, is it similar to the acro s? Because there are no videos for the acro s.

We do not know if you got the right product from parts4repair.com since you did not show what you got, and we have no description.

It can be done, but you cannot use a different model as a guide. The Xperia Arc is completely different to the Xperia Acro S... I do not know where you got the idea that the two might be similar...

You cannot even use a disassembly guide for an Xperia T when you have an Xperia TX... because the body, connections and ports are located in completely different locations.

I suggest to keep looking for an appropriate video based on the Xperia Acro S. Also find the right screen parts and tools.
