Dear sir,
I'v configured my new Xperia ION phone with my home networke that usually works well. but the problem is that sometimes my wifi system locks with following detail:
my pre-defined network SSID show up but it say (not in range)!
no other wifi network show up during scan!
when i long press on my home network name and choose FORGET in order to remove it nothing happens!
the firs time this situation occured i used the RESET FACTORY and re configed my phone again and every thing became normal. but after a few times of connection to the network the wifi locked again.
the last time it locked was exactly at the moment that my router shut down because of power failure and after starting up the router my phone locked again and it's impossible for me to reset my phone time after time !
please help me with this issue...
Sincerely yours,
Burice
I suggest that you try to run a software reinstall using SUS.

You should also check for firmware updates for your router.
If the problem still remains you should check if the phone can scan and connect to other networks.
Dear,
I have updated the phone to the latest firmware. the interesting point is that i have the same problem with my own phone (xperia Acro S) that is updated with the latest firmware!
The router is working well because i have no problem with my tablet or receiver or laptopts! just these phones. and these phones normally have no problems but if i turn off the phone and then turtn it on the problem occures.
here is the last solution for this problem is as following:
turning off the wifi on the phone
turning off the phone
turning on the phone
turning on the wifi on the phone.
it's interesting that at the time this problem occures the phone cannot scan, detect or attach to any network! some sort of jammed in the wifi system that can only be released with the solution i mentioned before. i thing there is something wrong with the firmware because two phones with different hardwares have the same issue!
and at last i think this problem doesnt have any relation with my network because i've tested and faced the same problem with different wifi networks (my office , my dad's home and other friends)
now i'm ok with this situation because with the mentioned solution i take care of this issue whenever it happens but i think your company can take care of this matter in upcomming updates.
Best Regards.
