Hi - hope somebody can help me. I got my new X10 today and have put my sim card in and turned it on and when the set up wizzard started i changed my language to Chinese/Japanese by mistake. I now can't change it back as i don't know what it says. Can somebody please talk me through it step by step? I can get onto the settings page but need guidance i.e 2nd option down then 3rd down etc. Help would be much appreciated Thanks
SOLVED - Had the same issue just had the phone a week. When sending a text i noticed Japanese character input on the screen keyboard.
#1 / Open up any app that displays the on screen keyboard
#2 / Look to the very bottom left hand corner there is an icon of a globe and a number "12"
#3 / Press and hold down the key a submenu will be displayed. We shall call it the "Keyboard input settings menu"
The menu options are as follows: ----"Standard Keyboard", "Change Settings", and "Input Method" .
#4 / Select "INPUT METHOD" then select "STANDARD KEYBOARD" then exit
#5 / Relief, sorry dont understand kanji-
Now if i could figure out my can't HEAR anything issue i would love the phone ;o)
tap setting, then in setting count right from top up to number 11th function, click then you will see everything.
My case is worse, don't even understand this langauge. Want change it to english.
Can someone explain it more, using icons or tabs.
Here are few words on this lang: aceptar, desbloquear,Llamanda de emergencia.
Assist asap
Ok.
Step 1: Open Settings
Step 2: 4th Option from the bottom
Step 3: First Option
Step 4: Select your language.
In settings, this is the 'Locale & Text' menu. Your phone is currently in spanish, you're looking for the menu 'localización y el texto' or something long those lines. Then it should be the first menu, possibly "seleccione la configuración regional" or "seleccionar el idioma"
This is Spanish.
aceptar - accept/ok
desbloquear - unblock
Llamanda de emergencia - emergency call
Dude... this is 3 months old.....
