HI,

     I am not getting the screen light as before when i supposed to take out the mobile(SONY XPERIA TIPO) from my ears after a call.

Is there any setting in mobile that might have changed? kindly help me with this.

Hi,

I have same problem and found out that it stopped to work in dialer. The proximity works fine as I tested it in "sensor test" application...

Temporary solution should be to install "Proximity Screen Off Lite" application...

how to get the permanent solution for this?

is there any possibility that sensor got damaged physically?

First try moving the phone away from your ear during the call and see if the display is turned on. If the person you're talking to hangs up while you have the phone to your ear the display will not turn on when you remove it.

If the sensor is not working during calls, make sure you don't have any sticker or case covering the top front of the phone.
