problems with the power button and volume

I have a problem with my xperia z .. the power button does not work anymore, but I notice that some of the things I was doing with it (such as screen unlock operation or end call) now I can make them from the volume button which is located just below the power button. obviously the result is a mixture of commands that are given through the volume button! how can I solve the problem?

That sounds very strange.

If you are able to turn the phone off you can try to repair the software in the phone using PC Companion: http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/tools/pc-companion/. Start it without connecting the phone and go to Support zone -> Software update -> repair phone and follow the instructions.

But if that doesn't work or solve the problem i suggest that you contact a service location or local Sony Xperia support (http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/).
