No signal, simply not being read.

Hey guys please help!
My sim isn't being read properly, it recognises my mobile number but there's no signal at all, network is 'unknown', I can't make or receive calls etc. However I know it's not the sim as my sim worked in another phone, and another sim didn't work only when put into my phone. Any suggestions! ?

could you test a brand new SIM card? 

Also make sure to use the correct size, don't trim/cut the SIM card.

Is this a new handset? Or second hand?

I could, but I'm certain the sim isn't faulty. And no i just use an untampered-with nano sim

It is only 3 months old
