Problem #1:
When receiving photos and videos through bluetooth, they just seem to disappear? The phone has said it has received it but where exactly does it get saved? Tried looking in ALBUM but it's not there??
Problem #2:
My phone has a mind of it's own...this has started happening in the last few days where my phone will just ring my contacts, send random texts, unlock itself or even start pushing the keypad while I'm on a call (and this is while using the touch screen option). If I tried to override whatever it is doing it starts going all haywire on me so I then have to turn it off. Even after turning it off 3 times in a row it just started doing the same thing all over again once I turned it back on.
At first I thought it may have been games I downloaded from Android Market but it was still happening after I uninstalled them...
Is there a possiblity that my phone could be hacked??!
Problem #3:
Why do I get charged when using WiFi for Facebook and Youtube? Isn't this why you use WiFi so you DONT get charged?
**If anyone can shed some light it would be much appreciated as I have only had this phone for two months and already I want to throw it in the bin!!!
Thanks
I will chip in where I can....
On the first point, try downloading a file manager - Astro or Linda are both very good and free on the Android Market. Then have a look on the SD card to locate your picture files, could be in a Bluetooth folder or just on the main path. You can then move them to your Album folder so that they can be seen when viewing Album.
On third point, you shouldn't be being charged for Wifi, I use the Data Traffic toggle on my X8 which is the same set up as the mini's pretty much. I don't have a data package on it and don't want any charges so have it switched off all the time. You can add it via the Menu>Arrange Widget>Add Widget and Data Traffic so you shouldn't receive any charges.
On the phone misbehaving, I don't know what to suggest other than running a software repair via PC Companion Support section which will wipe your phone back to factory settings so make sure you have synced/backed up your contacts and saved any SMS that you want to keep. Any apps will need to be reinstalled afterwards too.
Hi tw!hard29, I can only help with problem #1. All files received via bluetooth are saved on your memory card under a bluetooth folder. Use file managers such as Astro to explore files in your memory card. Just be patient with the phone. You will not regret it!
Ok so just confirming that when adding "Data Traffic" that is enabling it? And so I shouldn't receive any charges while on a WiFi connection?
Also is it possible for people to hack into your phone through a downloaded application from the market?
When you have the widget on screen you should get a clear message when tapping it if you are switching it on plus you will have a little icon in your notification bar two tiny white boxes with a dotted line and a red X to say that the data is disabled.
Hi there,
For the 2nd point, you could try a factory reset and check if the problem still persists. The other option is to reinstall the phone software.
To do a factory reset:
go to Settings -> Privacy -> Factory data reset.
Note that either of the above methods will completely erase all the contents you have on your phone memory. Make sure you take a backup of your contacts, bookmarks, market applications, messages, settings etc using the backup & restore app on your phone, so that you can restore once you are done.
Hope this helps!
