So... On My Xperia Z (c6602), it is almost impossible for me to use my mobile networks. When i first got the phone it worked great. Fast reliable network, then all of a sudden, it was either the network was outrageously low or couldnt be found at all.
Could this be a software or hardware issue. I've done a factory reset and still the same thing.
Wifi works great...i just cant use the mobile network.
Is there any solution?
Please try testing another SIM in the phone to rule that out first.

I have tried about 4 diffevent Sims from different networks. Even took my SIM Back to my network provider and got a new one, I still have the same problem.
Have also swapped between 3G and 2G (wcdma/gsm). I have put my SIM in other phones and it works Great.
just in case sam is busy
you may have a hardware fault as nobody else is reporting this issue
you say you did a factory reset - lets take that a step further as a last resort before returning your device for repair
Download SUS (sony update service) and perform an update repair - backup your data first
After this repair do not install any software and test out the network to see if the problem persists - if it does then return the device to retailer or a sony service center for evaluation

Thanks.
But it still didnt work. Problem is even worse now. I get absolutely no service @ work and limited service @home.
If it still doesnt work after the repair using sony update service as GeoffH already pointed out it is most definitely a hardware problem, take your phone to the service center
did you buy your Z from the same mobile operator?
when you say you have problem, are yo refereing to data(internet) or normal phone functions like phone calls & sms?
other that the mobile operator replacing your sim card, did they mention or tried anything else?
when you first setup your phone, did u download the internet & sms settings for your network?
did you try different APNs on your phones?
