Good news guys as Sony has updated it's official page with android verison 4.4.2 Kitkat for xperia T2 Ultra.

Yes you are correct.
This update is a kind of lollypop that Sony has given to us. Below is my analysis of this update:

Pros:

1) Improved user experience
2) Improved performance
3) apps to sd option
4) All new Sony apps update including new theme manager.
5) Improved battery.

Cons:

1) No significant improvement in camera. Still experiencing low frame rates in low light situation. Almost impossible to snap a pic.
2) No significant improvement in sound.
3) No new lockscreen included.
4) No xperia Z1 like live wallpaper included.
5) Antutu scores have fallen down to 17.5k from 19.5k (this seems like a joke. What were you thinking Sony?).

I think that major issues with Camera and Sound are still present. And overall, I am not very happy with this update. Though there is definately an improvement in overall performance of the phone which is commendable!

After 4.4.2 update some new features added 

1.Immersive mode of kitkat is available. 

2.White balance settings in display settings 

3.new ui

4.a little improvement in sound 

5.Some app data can be moved to sd card.

Overall a good update, new theme settings missing. 

6.Now quick settings and notification are separated.

I'm using an xperia t2 ultra dual bought from a retail store and i'm using airtel and aircel simcard. I've heard that android kitkat is  already released in india but i can't find it in my update centre. I refresh it manually but still its not available for me. If anyone knows why? Pliz tell me. Is it only available through pc companion? And also if anyone happened to be updated tell me the new added features and also if there is any improvement in camera result and any issues. I want to update it asap.

Hi, I have a problem about software update in T2 Ultra. The system is now running 4.3. It shows there is update(19.1.A.0.473). However, I click to update without the option through OTA(Over The Air). There is only the way through PC. Is it normal? I want to update through OTA. Any idea of it?Thanks for your any information and reply in advance.

Could you pliz upload the image taken by the t2 ultra dual after the kitkat update as i want to see it. I was waiting for the kitkat update mostly for the updated camera as the launched version of the camera result is very noisy.
